AFS Privacy Policy

Responsive Media ("we", "us", or "our") operates the RM:Advanced Free Shipping application ("the App") for the Shopify platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you install and use the App.

1. Information We Collect

When you install the App, we collect and store the following information:

Your Shopify store URL (myshopify.com domain)
The access token provided by Shopify during the OAuth authentication process

The App may also access certain store data through the Shopify API in order to provide its functionality. This data is processed in real time and is not stored in our databases unless explicitly stated above.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

Authenticate your store and provide the App's functionality
Communicate with you regarding the App (e.g., support requests)

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the operation of the App.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. The App communicates only with Shopify's APIs to deliver its features. No data is sent to external analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure, US-based cloud infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Access to stored data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your store information only for as long as the App is installed on your store. When you uninstall the App, we automatically delete all data associated with your store from our systems.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

7. GDPR Compliance

For merchants and customers located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our lawful basis for processing is the performance of a contract (providing the App's services to you). Data is transferred to and stored in the United States; by using the App, you consent to this transfer.

8. CCPA Compliance

For California residents: We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. To make a request, contact us at help@responsivemedia.com.au.

9. Cookies

The App does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies beyond what is required by Shopify for the embedded app experience.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is designed for use by Shopify merchants and is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
